Tom McGinnis, owner of Ozark Knife Makers, held a demonstration at the State Fair in Sedalia with Rural MO. Leonard Byrd, one of his instructors assisted him with the displays. Tom demonstrated the fine art of knife making to many people. The day was very busy and fulfilling. A Burr King Grinder was on display, along with knives and Tomahawks. The new 2013 knife making classes was made available at the fair.
Ozark Knife Makers hosted a Mosaic Handle making class in July. Instructor Steve Nolte showed students the art of handle making. Steve's work has been featured in Blade Magazine, and others. He used copper, turquoise, and other fine materials to create the handles. Students enjoyed the weekend and took home a knife worth as much as $1000. or more.
